Rudolf is from Dutch origin and lives since 1990 in Harpenden, United Kingdom, although he still has a studio in Belgium where he regularly works for clients on the continent. He became a freelance illustrator/graphic designer in 1979 and he worked for advertising agencies and publishers until the boom of the internet in the mid 90s. From then on, he got interested in multimedia and started to wok with direct clients, creating all sorts of multimedia projects from cd prsentations to web sites. He has clients all over the globe. All the while , he divided his time in commercial
and non commercial artwork, the first to fill the holes in his pocket,
the latter for his peace of mind. He likes to try out all sorts of media and he refuses to be cornered in one discipline. "A medium is only a means to an end and if I feel that I have to create bronze statues to express an idea, I simply do it, although I'm not a sculptor."
